Everyman
Lettie
Outerworld Records
With an already impressive portfolio, Framlingham’s Lettie is undoubtedly going to become more apparent in the alternative music scene.
Having been dubbed as the latest Kate Nash/Lily Allen in the making, the 20-year-old has already performed for the BBC Electric Proms and undertook a tour of Europe, supporting former Bauhaus singer Peter Murphy.
Compared to her first album Age of Solo, Everyman is a more acoustic piece. Its childlike playfulness provides a somewhat idiosyncratic and nostalgic approach to living. Cheese however, being a strangely lyrical and tempo exception.
Surrounded in minimal percussion of guitars and keyboards, Lettie is potentially good ad music. Hang On, a catchy and optimistic offering being a great example. Another poetic surprise, Red, is cleverly produced and has a raw sound. Presented with delicate emotion, it also has an air of mysteriousness.
With the album gradually progressing to more live-sounding tracks, Everyman is definitely worthy of a listen. LW

Nice review!!! although minimal???? this genre of music and minimalism are mutualy exclusive!!!! kinda goes without saying. Loving her voice, although, yet again just another blatant Flunk mimic. Flunk ftw!!!! On a dirtstep remix of “red” already - gonna be trippy!!
