Over the next couple of weeks we will be choosing the four people to be featured on the show off page, one for each category; image, audio, writing and film.

If you have seen anyone’s profile that you think is great enough to be featured, please post their profile link and what you think makes them stand out from the crowd here please.

i have chosen Laurine i love how she washes her images with water colour
but leaves some aspects of the images crisp and clean, her images are almost like collage
in a way, and i would greatly welcome more collage to the show off pages as i have said before.

Laurine is really good, but we have featured her in the mag before. Maybe that doesn’t matter, I don’t know?

Lozz please don’t use caps!

Personaly I would like to feature myself at some point, mainly because I don’t know anyone in my age group who does the stuff I do (tech art) and there isnt anyone else in ipswich doing it really.  But I mainly want more people to realise this stuff is going on in ipswich.  I’ve recently been considering doing exhibitions in london, that’s not good for Ipswich.

I like sampeet’s illustrations.  But i’m tempted to feature a filmmaker or writer first since I like helping out the underdog.

my selection is:

The stupendous http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/87/  gbs music for music, great music with spiffing lyrics.

The legendary http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/119/  m.farrah for fundalful line illustration .

The multi-talented http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/110/  lozz berry for visual joy.

The spiffing work of http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/92/  sampeet for AMAZING colorful and original illustration.

And of course the creative brain of http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/4/  Tom juby, as this is a creative subject that ip1 target audience might not know about.

for the show off peice you should select a person from each genre (that dont know each other)and get them ask each other questions about there work, thus showing how the showcase/network connects creative people.
self promotion, ip1 promotion, and a collabrative piece for the mag….........................im going to drink some tea now:)
toodles.

I vote for:

Music - Truth http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/118/or Bandersnatch http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/37/

Fim: - There’s not a lot on there but of what there is I’d say rograves http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/112/

Images: Lots on there and very difficult to decide, but I like: DazzelMonroe http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/120/, m.farrar http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/119/ or JenONeil http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/78/

Writing: Andy http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/21/

Let me know if I’ve bad taste ok?

Visually I am enjoying Reb Capper’s work. Especially this gem: http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/media/245/
And I’m going to put it out there that I quite like what Dreamline are doing. They’ve got more songs on myspace and it all sounds very well produced and I could kind of picture it in Liquid (that’s a compliment, honestly) http://www.ip1zine.com/showoff/profile/143/

I like Alice’s art, particularly her ink pieces, which are delicate and clean. I wonder how big they are in real life.

DazzleMonroe’s photography is awesome too. The colours in Regeneration are weirdly moody, it doesn’t seem like Ipswich at all.

Writing-wise, I vote for Andy.
