Key arts are accepting submissions for videos at their showcase on December 14th 2007
Might be a good place to go to find some new film people? Maybe we can distribute some mags at this event?

Brilliant Becky. The guy organisaing it, Cormac, used to work with Leah at Gapyear.com - also he has art on our website. He will defintely be up for having mags at the event. Also, you’re right, its very important we attend events like this. Please can you email Leah and Lauren about this.

Cheers.

Hi,

I have been in contact with Cormac about this for the past few months, sorry it just slipped my mind to let everyone know. He is up for linking up with us in some way so i can either contact him about ideas or I’m happy for someone else to take it on. Lauren maybe you can contact him if its in aid of distribution?

Cheers

I went to the video showcase, and to be honest I think the choice of venue spoiled things a bit. It was utterly FREEZING cold, so sitting there with your teeth chattering trying not to die of hypothermia isn’t exactly the way to encourage people to watch what’s going on. There were only a couple of videos that I thought were good - maybe I’m just picky, though. Really, unless it’s warm and in the middle of the summer I wouldn’t recommend using that venue for a film event in particular.

On the positive side, quite a few people took the mags we took down :o) Hooray!
