Music: aflightoremember

aflightoremember is Marc Newby - Vocals, guitar and piano.

aflightoremember started of as a side project for me about four years ago. I played my first show in January two thousand and three in Bury and about a year later I recorded my first studio album (after recording an album and EP at home on a digital camera and handing them out for free) and started to play some more shows. I released two more cds, the ep ‘For Jayden’ and the album ‘Is There Anything?’ before I set off on my first tour in two thousand and six with Matthew Aldous.

At the start of two thousand and seven I had played over seventy shows and appeared at various festivals - Eastern Haze, ZEEBFEST?, Dolphin 3 (to name a few) and I recorded my new ep ‘I’m Sectioned, Burnt. Heavy Sleeper’. I also released ‘Bridges’, a fifteen track CD made up of tracks from my previous six releases, which were all out of print. I have recently signed to Dead Ship Records and I will be releasing a split 7” vinyl with Short Term Diary and the start of July. Also in July I will be going on a two week full UK tour with Short Term Diary. A new full length album will be released early next year.
