Royal Arcade are a 4 piece band that play Indie and new wave, heavily influenced by bands such as Muse, Radiohead, Interpol and The Foo Fighters. They formed there current line-up in June 2006, when the amazing Jo [lead vocalist] joined what was already a promising band. Before this point Royal Arcade [also known as “The Volts"] had employed a new bass player, Tim. Things were starting to go somewhere and eventually Royal Arcade played their first gig.

At the beginning of July, 2006 at Kesgrave Family Day the wheels started to roll. They played a short 20 minute slot but it was obvious to those listening to there original songs that some great song writing was going to occur over the next few months.
Royal Arcade continued to impress audiences with there amazing talent and great live performances, featuring mind numbing piano intros and amazing guitar solos, accompanied by extremely powerful and solid drumming and soaring vocals. With this in mind they set out to write a debut EP, something that was completely different to any other female fronted band.
Recently, Royal Arcade finished recording their debut EP, Hidden. It consists of 4 mind blowing tracks (Intro, Hello/Goodbye, Hidden Apologies and Space Echo), a few of which can be downloaded directly from this page. Royal Arcade have enjoyed spending large amounts of money, and creative time, over recording, and this allowed them to try many different sounds and experiment with different ideas to give the amazing material your hearing now. Recorded and produced entirely by their own bass player Tim, it shows how 4 people, with true raw talent can create something unique and enjoyable.
Look out for Royal Arcade in future years, they’re sure to blow up a storm whenever they play.
