Mister Millerchip the mural man!

Little by little the lo-fi loving, monochromatic, Brummie illustrator Joel Millerchip is taking over this town.

We noticed the first of many murals popping up in April when a derelict Ipswich shop in Upper Orwell Street got a graffiti and Millerchip style makeover.

The next one was at Derby Road train station – a collaboration with the cool kids of Copleston High, which told the story of two young people meeting and falling in love with each other (awww!)

And it doesn’t end there! Now, if you head down to St. Nicholas Street you’ll see the latest installment (see pics below).

And while you’re down that way, check out Mister Millerchip’s 3D window display and wares that he did for LoveOne, in collaboration with co-local artist Kluck.

Magnificent stuff, we’re sure you’ll agree. And beware, you never know where Ipswich’s mural man might strike next. It might be your house.

Wouldn’t that be cool.
