Bonjour

I’m starting up a project called CLUBSHOUT. We are soon going to be arranging regular jamming nights in Ipswich for young musicians, djs, comedians, actors, dancers and poets, we are still at the early stages!

I’m currently at suffolk new college studying a national diploma in media, from all the meandering hype in newspapers to the background of filming of a tv show..
it has always dazzled me. I’ve just entered my second year and hopefully my
need to procrastinate will stop, i’ve been known to wilt during lectures.

Outside of college..
I’ve always been heavily loaded with volunteering schemes, at the moment i’m trying to start up these club shout gig nights. There is hardly anywhere in Ipswich which lets you showcase the whole package , pubs will have the certainty of putting on local bands but there is no where for other creative acts to branch off or to collaborate.

In 2009, I worked backstage and contributed in many local festivals through charity work and stewarding, at festinho I was part of a small nomadic group called v-inspired, I had the opportunity to learn more skills in the media. I was in a crew of 3 and they gave us a film camera and we documented the stage and went around vigorously interviewing cider-smelling festival goers. I was asked to do a promotional interview with one of the bands which were performing that night and I regret the interview to this day, my hands were moving around like they were levitating on string and I had to ask the band a couple of times for their name which i still don’t know to this day.. you can find it on YouTube if you are that eager.. haha

Jimmy’s Farm was another festival I volunteered at, I got so many contacts from it which was a real bonus, I worked backstage as a steward, however I wasn’t pleased about not being able to receive free sausages… especially jimmy farm sausages! simply delish.

My main interest has always been music, but as i’m not musically gifted at playing a instrument, I routed into a different direction which was radio, there is just something about it which makes it a powerful medium. I’m starting up a radio show soon on Friday on SNC LIVE, this will be happening weekly within the superficial hours of 9- 11 am, playing a blend of indie, electro and old-school classics!
