“My name is Joe Weaver, I am currently 19 years old and have been dubbed as: “The One Man Promo Machine!” due to the work I do in the music industry.
I am a music event promoter as well as an artist manager having owned my own company, Toonteen Industries, since mid-2007. I started up at that time with no prior knowledge to the music industry itself, jumping head first into artist management and later into event promotion. I joined the Bury St. Edmunds Youth Council shortly after which allowed me to organise youth events with them, such as the critically acclaimed UV Bury and it’s follow up, UV Bury 2, both selling out Bury Corn Exchange entirely.
At this time in mid-2009 I started putting on events with the former alternative venue/club: ‘Ruin’ in Bury St. Edmunds. Many successful bands played there such as Deaf Havana, NeverMeansMaybe, Martyr Defiled, The First, etc.
When ‘Ruin’ was shut down in late 2009 due to management problems, I moved on to promoting my own independent shows at hired venue, The Old Maltings. Here I was able with the help of others to book some amazing bands, as well as create a lively alternative music scene in Bury St. Edmunds, which continues to grow and develop each time.
Since then I have begun organising music events at The LP and at The Apex.

Recently I have also started writing for IP1 Magazine on occasion, have created a free and legal music downloads site (Skint Music Downloads), and have founded a creative talents agency (Joe Weaver Group.). As well as running Sadpanda Clothing with my business partner Jack Smith, which has been in constant progression for the last year, expanding and growing as we go.
